MISA (Malta International Shipowners' Association) warmly welcomes the Government of Malta's decision to join the (Clean Energy Marine Hubs (CEM-HUBS) initiative! 🤝 Malta now has a seat in this crucially important platform for public and private entities in the shipping, ports, energy and finance sectors to work together in enabling and accelerating the global maritime energy transition.

MISA is proud to have consistently advocated, as the national shipping industry voice, for Malta to join this initiative recognising both the global significance of the platform and Malta’s unique strategic potential.

"We are proud to see Malta take this significant step," said Marily Frangista, President of MISA. "This further enhances Malta's leading position in the maritime industry and its role as a serious and strategic player also in the global transition to green shipping.''

“The Mediterranean region is a vital maritime corridor that will play a key role in the energy transition. Malta is ideally placed to be a natural partner for advancing clean energy cooperation in view of its strategic location at the heart of the region - on one of the major shipping arteries - and its strong maritime ecosystem'' added Claudia Vella Casagrande, MISA Secretary General.
